During Ramadhan last year, I did a bazaar Ramadhan photo album. That was when I just started 'playing' around with my Olympus. Although it was a fasting month and the weather was quite dry at most times, I really enjoyed the experience and learned a thing or two. Fast forward to last night, I decided to shoot the Thaipusam Festival at Batu Caves. Indeed it was such an experience! Thousands of people flocking the area. In total, almost a million Hindu believers and tourists visited Batu Caves during the 3-4 days festival. Ramadhan shoot experience helped me to quickly adapt to the situation. And this time I was accompanied by my old friend, Esry, a professional photographer. Since the shoot was at night, he suggested me to do monotone photography instead and to do my shoot manually, with ISO 6400 and maximum exposure of F1.8. And as the result, the photos were really nice. Here are the pix. Enjoy! ~
